John McConnell recently passed away from cancer. Great musician, guy, and friend. He will be missed.

Oh, no! I'm so sorry to hear this sad news, Jim. I didn't know him personally but we had a lot in common and communicated often online. I didn't know he was dealing with cancer. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. :(

I met John a couple of times. His sister and brother-in-law used to live in L.A. and we used to get together with some other musicians and have weekly jam sessions.
