Hey Y'all - This is my first post here so I'm hoping I understand the gist of how things work around here.
I picked up my first square neck resonator this past spring after starting to play lap steel about a year prior. Quickly this guitar has become one of my favorites in my collection and I'm trying to learn more about it but haven't had a whole lot of luck finding any information so I figured I'd join the highly revered Steel Guitar Forum and bring it to all of you fine people and see if maybe you could help me out.
What I know:
I purchased this instrument from a gentlemen in Portland, OR who said that he purchased this instrument approximately 15 years ago from Portland Music. I don't fully recall if he said that he purchased it second hand at that time or not.
I have not gotten any sort of confirmation but the wood, to my eye, looks to be something like a flamed Koa, with purpleheart and/or bubinga in the neck and body appointments.
It also has these very unique diagonal fretboard inlays that look like abalone or mother of pearl.
The only sort of branding that I can see on the instrument is this "M" on the headstock that looks as though it could be turquoise, but I'm not sure.
Have you ever seen a guitar like this before? Would love any help/insight anyone has to try and help me learn more about this wonderful instrument.
Thank you!

Re: Who Made My Resonator?
No Idea who made it but there are centainly some unusual touches on it. Obviously the inlaid stripes in the back, but also the headstock veneer with the grain running across the headstock is something I have never seen
