My Mom Passed

Post by Walter Stettner »

I am writing with heavy heart that my Mom passed away yesterday after a long illness with multiple health issues that she fought so bravely. She loved music in general and the Steel Guitar in particular. She often sat down and listened to me practice, her personal all time favorite player was Papa John Hughey. When calling her cell, she heard John's solo on Conway's "Rolling In My Sweet Baby's Arms".

I miss her tremendously and will do so for the rest of my life.

Thanks for always being there, Mom!

Ein Schönes trost lied.

Im Himmel, dort sind nicht mehr Thränen
Nicht Müdigkeit, Trübsal und Schmerz
Nicht Herzensgebrechen noch Bluten
Kein klagendes, seufzendes Herz
Die Wölken, die hier oft so dunkel
Erscheinen im Himmel nicht mehr
Von himmlischem Glanze und Funkel
Ist alles so glänzend und hell.

Chorus:

In übernatürlichem Glanze
So frisch und so glänzend und hell.
